We at 'Gites rue du chateau' are delighted to be hosting 14 ex-servicemen on 14th December when they complete their epic canoe / hike to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the 'Cockleshell Heroes'. They'll be canoeing 60 miles along the Gironde estuary and hiking 100 miles from Bordeaux to Ruffec and are raising money for three charities. We'll be supplying them with refreshments before they head home.
