Having decided to change our lifestyle, we relocated from Norfolk, England to Ruffec, France, in April 2022. With consistently excellent reviews, we would love to welcome you to our beautiful home and complex of four French cottages.

 

The property is located within the ' ancien quatres ' of Ruffec and tucked within the grounds of what was once part of the old Chateau estate. We can offer a little haven of tranquillity; a place where you will be able to unwind, relax and feel at one with nature while at the same time, have fun and make those precious memories.

 

With four individual cottages, guests can book separately or reserve the entire site for exclusive use - making it the perfect escape for multi-generational families or groups of friends, when you would like to have separate accommodation but be on the same site. Each cottage is tastefully furnished and fully equipped for comfort. 

 

Set in two and a half acres of walled gardens and woodland, this peaceful haven features a gentle stream running through a restored lavoir, a lovely pool, a boules area, BBQs, an outside kitchen and dining area, a cosy fire pit corner and access to covered terraces.

 

Every day we now wake up to the sound of birdsong, flowing water and the distant chime of the church bells.  Surprisingly peaceful, but within walking distance from the town's restaurants, bakeries, shops, beer warehouse/bar and the local market.

Whether you prefer to relax within our tranquil grounds or explore the surrounding countryside, there’s plenty to enjoy. Paddle down the river at Rejallant canoeing centre, follow picturesque cycle routes, or spend the day at local lakes and adventure parks. For a taste of local culture, visit the nearby medieval villages of Verteuil-sur-Charente and Nanteuil-en-Vallée, both brimming with charm, history, and welcoming bars and restaurants
