Springtime at Gites Rue du Chateau

Well, it’s Springtime at Gites Rue du Chateau, and the weather has been AMAZING. The response from the gardens has been fabulous - so much blooming over the last couple of weeks. It’s almost changing daily. Here’s a selection of colour from our flora. The wisteria is spectacular! The bluebells and tulips are sumptuous. Even the dandelions and daisies are gorgeous. (I love the way they sleep at night and then open up when the sun hits them ). The apple trees seem to have benefitted from their pruning and are full of blossom! And, of course, we have our wildlife - the resident ducks are always about and even Mr Fox has returned (albeit under cover of darkness). We still have some vacancies this summer if you fancy a stay in the beautiful Charente!
