What a beautiful relaxing place to stay. The hosts are amazing and so welcoming, They work very hard to make the place clean, well kept and beautiful. They are also extremely organised, welcoming and helpful. Super hosts, super accommodation would definitely go back.

We've had a lovely time visiting Gîtes Rue du Château with our family. Hosts Anna and Ian are super friendly and helpful. The grounds are vast and have numerous cosy corners to explore. The site offers all plenty of possibilities for a relaxing trip. Everything has been taken care of. It is a sweet haven of peace and quiet where both adults and children can enjoy a stay. The gîte was comfortable and well-equipped. Local shops and large supermarkets are at a walking distance. The site is in the middle of cosy Ruffec, but the quiet atmosphere of Gîtes Rue du Château makes you forget you are near a town centre. If you're in doubt, please don't and book this place.

Thanks again for another amazing holiday. We first visited the Gites in May 2023 and have returned again in March 2024. Anna and Ian are amazing hosts and the location is stunning and peaceful but 5 min walk to the boulangerie, local shops and cafes. There are birds galore, red squirrels, River Vipers and even a Coypu was spotted (Bringing much excitement) ! The Gites are perfectly furnished and exceptionally clean and the kitchens have evrything you need in terms of utensils, equipment etc. In the shared spaces there are board games, puzzles, books etc available as well as multiple garden games, table tennis, dart board, swings etc. Thanks again to Anna and Ian for sharing this wonderful place with us.

​​Garden View – Decorations make the cottage very cosy and warm, also the little hearts everywhere was very nice. The hospitality was very very nice and we liked it here very much.  We also enjoyed the welcome gigts for the children.

Sunflower  - Fully equipped, strong eye for detail in the decoration. I loved it.  The welcome drinks on the first day were fantastic. After a long drive we felt very welcome.  Thanks for that.

 

Dear Ian and Anna.  Thank you so much for the warm welcome.  It was truly a beautiful vacation.  Everything else are just details swimming pool, weather, markets and other festivities, it doesn’t really matter.  It all boils down to friendship, family and love, that’s what makes a vacation one to remember. Because of your lovely attitude and demeaner we didn’t have to worry about anything else. Thanks for everything.

Garden View – A lovely site with lots of different places to explore and hide from the sun. Pool and games area are great. Brilliant for families, all the hidden fairy doors were magical for the kids and lots of nature on the site. Excellent location and drivable from the UK, with great weather and location. A great mix of cottages for larger group bookings.​

Sunflower – Comfortable, quiet, wonderful grounds and outdoors, can’t think of anything that would improve it.

 

Lavender – loved everything about it, loved the fans for every bedroom, range of facilities and location.

Big thank you to Anna and Ian for looking after us during our stay. The Lavender gite exceeded our expectations and was very comfortable and clean. The location was idyllic, so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed being in the hammock next to the river at the rear, which had crystal clear water. We would definitely stay again.
